Exploring the Acadia area of Maine

Sailboat on Blue Hill Bay.

Water entering Blue Hill Bay at Blue Hill Falls. This is an outgoing tide, but isn't at maximum flow. There are standing waves 3 feet high on the maximum ebb. We need to go back when the tide is incoming to see the difference. Looking across at the rocks, you can see from the color how high the tide gets! They say it's at least a 10 foot difference!

The bridge at Blue Hill Falls. The water is
rushing over the falls at low tide.
